Number range group & not found in number assignment

What causes this issue?

Costing number assignment cannot assign a number because no assignment
has been made in the number range maintenance for this costing variant.

How to fix this error?

If you have authorization, maintain the number range and assign the
costing variant to the number &V1&.
INCLUDE 'NA_CKSYSAD_AN'
