You cannot maintain the settlement rule for WBS element

What causes this issue?

The WBS element must be identified as an
<GL:account_assignment_element>account assignment element</> or a
<GL:billing_element>billing element</> in order for you to maintain the
settlement rule for that WBS element.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

You can correct your entry by entering a WBS element that is defined as
a account assignment or billing element.
If you want to maintain a settlement rule for the WBS element, your
system administrator or other authorized person (for example, the
project manager) must first identify the element as a
billing or account assignment element.


Procedure for system administrator:
Set the billing or account assignment indicator for the WBS element.
