Externally generated production version cannot be processed

What causes this issue?

You want to process a
<DS:GLOS.3526C38DAFAB52B9E10000009B38F974>production version</>
(change, delete, copy, and so on). The production version you selected
was generated by an external application, such as
<DS:GLOS.C33CEC717377D3118F330060B03CA38C>Integrated Product and
Process Engineering (iPPE )</>. Only the external application can
maintain this production version.

System Response

To avoid data inconsistencies, the system cancels the edit transaction.

How to fix this error?

Call up the external application and edit the production version from
there.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
