Change number & not allowed for material

What causes this issue?

You want to assign a revision level to a material with reference to
change number &V1&.
The material can only be processed using a change number if the change
master record contains the <LS>Object type active for change number</>
indicator for the object type <LS>Material</>.
Change number V1& does not contain this indicator.

How to fix this error?

If you want to process the material with reference to change number
&V1&, first you need to enter this indicator in the change master
record.
