Cannot assign application parameter && to a symbol

What causes this issue?

The system could not allocate an application parameter to a symbol.
The system was unable to allocate a symbol to the parameter you
specified for object &V1& and attribute &V2&. No symbol has been
allocated to the object and attribute.

System Response

The system ignores the application parameter during the generation run.

How to fix this error?

Check whether appropriate symbols have been generated for all
application parameters. Should this not be the case, start a symbol
generation run. Subsequently, restart report generation.
