The control object editor was called with an invalid operation code (&)

What causes this issue?

An undefined operation code was passed to the editor for background
processing objects. This error should not occur unless the editor is
being called from a new or modified program.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Please contact SAP if this error occurs in a module delivered by SAP.
