No MessageType determined during creation of MBC Message via PMW.

What causes this issue?

During creation of <ZK>SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity</> (MBC) Message<(>
,<)> no <ZK>Message Type</> could be determined.

System Response

Processing is aborted because no MBC Message can be created without a
<ZK>Message Type</> being set.

How to fix this error?

When creating an MBC Message via PMW<(>,<)> the Message Type is usually
taken from the field <ZK>External Format Description</> of the payment
medium format definition. Please double check if the External Format
Description is maintained there.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
