What causes this issue?

Element &V4& contains stock coverage key figure &V2& with time
characteristic &V3& (exception aggregation reference characteristic).
The fix filter or the filter on the element contains a selection on
characteristic &V1&.
Characteristic &V1& is incompatible with characteristic &V3&, because a
value of &V1& cannot normally be uniquely derived from a value of &V3&.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
