What causes this issue?

An API error occurred processing the BOM.

Individual system messages are collected in the application log for
object CAPI and subobject CAPI_LOG.

How to fix this error?

You can display the application log for object CAPI and subobject
CAPI_LOG with transaction SLG1. To go to the relevant log entry, enter
the IDoc number as parameter <LS>External number</>.
