What causes this issue?

The query does not specify any report layout. Neither basic list, nor
statistics, nor ranked list have been defined.
You then tried to execute the query, determine the sequence of the
sublists or display the layout.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Define the report layout (basic list, statistics or ranked list) before
executing the query.
