Deactivate dep.area &, since value takeover area & is deactivated

What causes this issue?

Depreciation area &V1& adopts values from depreciation area &V2& when a
posting is made. Therefore, depreciation area &V1& cannot be active if
depreciation area &V2& has been deactivated.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

A. Deactivate depreciation area &V1& as well
or
B. Reactivate depreciation area &V2&.
