Posting not possible (Asset does not manage postable areas)

What causes this issue?

Transaction type &V1& determines that posting must be performed in
specific areas. None of these areas are managed for the specified asset.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Check the transaction type and the asset.
