You cannot post comp.retirement for asset & & with this trans.type

What causes this issue?

A down payment was posted to asset &V1& &V2&. In depreciation area
&V3&, if not elsewhere, all down payments were not cleared.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Before posting a complete retirement on this asset, you have to first
clear the down payment in all depreciation areas.
