Invalid reference in the formula selected

What causes this issue?

The formula you have selected contains an invalid reference. The reason
for this may be one of the following:
The reference refers to the field to which the formula belongs and thus
represents a loop.
The reference refers to a cell that does not exist.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Check and correct the formula.
