Item status not supported

What causes this issue?

You are working on the detail screen <ZH>Item: Status/long text</> and
want to enter an item for which no data is maintained via the usage.
One of the following situations triggered this error message:
In table T416, all indicators which define item status are defined as
optional entries for the chosen BOM usage.
No default values for the item status of this usage are defined in
table T416V, and you have not entered an indicator either.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

You have deleted the default values for the item status and have not
set any new ones.

How to fix this error?

Enter an indicator for the item status.
