Can you explain the integration between SAP FI and SAP PM?

The financial accounting module integrates with PM directly and indirectly via the materials management module. The settling of work orders, execution of cost analysis and activity based costing are examples of direct integration while indirect integration is done via the purchase of maintenance materials and consumption of maintenance materials.
