Only choose redundantly displayed object types

What causes this issue?

You have executed Edit->Select on/off->Redundant object types. However
you have chosen an object type that is not displayed as redundant.
Therefore the operation cannot be executed.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Select an object type displayed as redundant or position the cursor on
such an object type and redo the operation.
