Selection is not valid for the archive information structure
Message type: E = Error
Message class: GLE_ECS_AL_ARCHIVING - Message Class for Object GLE_ECS
Message number: 003
Message text: Selection is not valid for the archive information structure
What causes this issue?
You want to extract ECS items from the archive to BW. In the DataSource,
you entered selection criteria for fields. However, the archive
information structure the system uses to access the archive does not
contain these fields.
System Response
The system terminates the extraction of data.
How to fix this error?
If you want to use the full update mode to extract ECS items from the
archive, you need to change your selection criteria.
For more information about the archive information structures for
archiving object GLE_ECS (<ZK>Archiving Object for Error Correction and
Suspense Accounting</>) see <DS:TRAN.SARJ>Archive Retrieval Configurator
</>.
If the system does not contain any active information structures, you
can still extract data from the archive without using the Archive
Information System. In your InfoPackage in the BW system, choose the
<ZK>Data Selection</> tab and make sure you have not entered any
additional selection criteria apart from those for the archive files.
If you want to use the full update mode to extract ECS items from the
database, and not from the archive, in the BW system, in the InfoPackage
choose the <ZK>Data Selection</> tab and change the settings for the
connection to the archive.
Procedure for System Administrators
