When we tried to close the year in the dev client, some of the assets showing an error, insurable value could not be determined. If I tick the manual update field that will solve the problem. But I would like to find out why these assets shows this error.

Hello Shine, My best guess is that you have not updated the index series (either at all or not during the year-end closing procedure). Hope this helps, Tom

In tcode OAV5, we have maintained index figures till year 2008. Is there anything else should I be looking For? Thanks

Hello Shine,
You might want to take a look at transaction AAVN - Recalculate Base Insurable Value. Also, to recalculate the indexed replacement value simply run the AFAR - Recalculate Values transaction.
